About Morning Star Gold "MCO"

Morning Star Gold (ASX: MCO) - We are a gold producer with significant mining and exploration tenements in Australia's 3rd ranked hardrock production goldfield, which lies 120kms northeast of Australia's second largest city Melbourne.

Our tenements host multiple high grade gold production ore bodies historically mined typically to only shallow depth due to water and hard rock cover. Historic production in the goldfield is recorded at 150-200 tonnes of gold (6-7Mozs) with production grades ranging 8g/t to 40g/t Au. Gold mineralisation in the Woods Point Goldfield is contained most often in repetitive quartz reef structures within faults & fractures of mafic and gabbroic 'dyke' host rocks.

Morning Star Gold has rebuilt and reopened its 100% owned namesake Morning Star Goldmine recommencing gold production at the famous site late in 2011. This is the first production in over 50 years at the site. The Morning Star Goldmine was in the 1940s Australia's premier gold mine run by Gold Mines of Australia (WMC Ltd). It yielded 883,000ozs of gold at average grades of 26g/t Au, production spanning 100 years until 1962. Woods Point is the town that was built at the Morning Star Goldmine and where our operations are centred.

2012 represents the Woods Point Sesquicentennial or 150 years since gold was discovered in the Yarra Ranges to the east of Melbourne.
